Privacy policy

Auf Deutsch: die Datenschutzerklärung in der Originalfassung. Bei Abweichungen gilt die deutsche Fassung.
This privacy policy explains how we process and protect your personal data when you use this website or the services offered through it. Unless defined otherwise here, the terms used have the same meaning as in the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
AI-ffective is a limited liability company in formation. Until it is entered in the commercial register, ODCUS AG is the legal entity behind AI-ffective and therefore the controller for the processing described here.
ODCUS AG
Grabenstrasse 15a, 6340 Baar, Switzerland
Business identification number: CHE-316.886.794
Email: info@ai-ffective.com or info@odcus.com
Responsible for the AI-ffective presence: Yannick Hirt. In addition, the privacy policy of ODCUS AG applies to everything that concerns the company as a whole. This policy describes what happens on ai-ffective.com. Once AI-ffective GmbH is registered it takes the place of ODCUS AG, and we will update this page.
2. What personal data we process
- Contact details you give us yourself: name, email address, company name
- The content of your enquiries to us, by form or by email
- Technical connection data when the website is called up: IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type
You are not obliged to give us personal data. Without the details needed for a contract or an appointment, however, we cannot provide the corresponding service.
3. Where the data comes from
Directly from you, when you fill in the form, write to us or work with us. From public sources such as the commercial register or your own website, when we prepare for a conversation. And from our business clients, when they entrust us with data in the course of an engagement for which they remain responsible themselves.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Contract and pre-contractual steps: to answer your enquiry, arrange an appointment and deliver our services.
Consent: where you give us details voluntarily through the contact form.
Legitimate interests: to run the website reliably and securely and to develop our offer.
Legal obligations: to meet retention, accounting and disclosure duties and to pursue or defend claims.
5. Contact form and booking a call
When you write to us through the contact form or request the two hours through the form, we process your name, email address, company name and, for the contact form, your message. The sole purpose is to answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment. To keep out spam, the contact form contains an invisible check field and a minimum time before sending; no cookies are set and no captcha service is used for this. The form is delivered through the service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards the entries as an email to info@ai-ffective.com. Apart from that service we pass the details on to nobody. We delete them once the enquiry is closed, at the latest after twelve months. Further information: formsubmit.co/privacy.
Booking a call. You book the 20-minute call through the scheduling service meetergo (meetergo GmbH, Hauptstrasse 44, 40789 Monheim am Rhein, Germany). The booking page opens on cal.meetergo.com, not on this website. It processes the details you enter in the booking form, at least your name and email address, and the slot you choose. The sole purpose is to arrange, confirm and remind you of the appointment. meetergo processes the data on our behalf. According to meetergo, its primary hosting is in the European Economic Area; for some functions it uses further sub-processors, including providers in the USA. The legal basis is your request, that is, pre-contractual measures. We delete the details once the enquiry is closed, at the latest after twelve months. Further information: meetergo.com/en/data-privacy.
6. Hosting
This website is a static website and is delivered through GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). When a page is called up, technical connection data is recorded in server logs. It is required to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation. Further information: GitHub Privacy Statement.
7. Fonts, cookies, analytics
All fonts are loaded from our own web space. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider. This website sets no cookies and builds no profiles of your browsing behaviour. That is why there is no cookie banner here.
Analytics. To see how many visits the website gets and which pages are read, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Tartu, Estonia). Plausible sets no cookies, does not use your browser's local storage and does not track you across other websites or devices. A daily identifier is derived from IP address and browser string; the key used for this is deleted every 24 hours, and IP addresses are not stored. Only aggregated figures are recorded, such as page visited, referring website, country, browser and device type. The data is processed and stored in the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website. More information: plausible.io/data-policy.
8. Recipients and service providers
We use service providers to run our business. They only get as much access to personal data as their task requires, and they are contractually bound to confidentiality. We use service providers in these categories:
- Website operation, forms, call booking and visitor analytics
- Hosting, servers and backup
- Communication and collaboration (email, calendar, video calls, document storage)
- Management of contact and client data
- AI-supported tools for internal workflows
- Quotes, invoices and accounting
- Professional advisers such as fiduciaries and lawyers
We keep a current register of our service providers and sub-processors with name, location, purpose and place of processing. We will provide it to you on request: info@ai-ffective.com. Service providers that process data when you visit this website are named individually in sections 5 to 7.
This concerns the operation of the website and our own business. Separate data processing agreements apply to client projects. On request, client systems run entirely on the client's own premises.
9. Transfers abroad
Some of our service providers process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the EU and the EEA and in the United States. We protect your data in doing so under the applicable data protection laws, for example by transferring to countries with an adequate level of protection or by using standard contractual clauses. Where there is neither an adequacy decision nor suitable safeguards, there is a risk that authorities in the destination country access the data and that data subject rights cannot be enforced.
10. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as the respective purpose requires and legal or contractual duties demand. After that we delete it or anonymise it completely.
11. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access, and we adapt them continuously. No one can guarantee complete security for transmission over the internet.
12. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, release of data and data portability, and the right to object to processing that we base on a legitimate interest. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. Please write to info@ai-ffective.com. We may verify your identity before answering in substance.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, info@edoeb.admin.ch.
13. Links and social networks
This website contains links to third-party websites. The respective operators are responsible for their content and their data processing. Our website embeds no external content, neither videos nor fonts. We run a presence on LinkedIn and merely link to it. What LinkedIn processes there under its own responsibility is set out in the LinkedIn privacy policy.
14. Changes
We adapt this policy when needed. Changes take effect once they are published on this page. The current version is always available here.
